Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TokGlance collects, why, how long we keep it, and what choices you have. TokGlance is an independent service for viewing public TikTok account information. Questions can be sent to privacy@tokglance.com.

What we collect

When you look up a username, we process that username so that we can return the result. If you create an account, we store your email address and the settings tied to it. If you use the watchlist, we store the accounts you add and the public counts recorded for them once a day. The watchlist stores counts only.

We do not ask for your TikTok login, and we never see your private TikTok activity.

Analytics and consent

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and which tools are popular. Analytics runs only after you give consent through the banner. If you decline, analytics stays off. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site and answering the banner again.

Analytics can process page views, device and browser information, referrers, approximate region, and interaction events. Necessary session cookies support sign-in and abuse prevention. Ads are off during early access. If AdSense is enabled later, we will explain its cookies and use Google's required certified consent platform in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

Lookup history on your device

Your recent lookups are kept in a history list that is stored on your device only, in your browser. It is not sent to our servers and we cannot read it. You can clear it at any time from the site or from your browser settings, and it disappears if you clear site data.

Cached public data

Public profile data comes from a third-party data service. Cached fields can include the username, display name, avatar URL, bio, bio link, verified status, follower and following totals, likes, video count, account region, and visibility settings. Available public list rows and video metadata may also be cached; we host no video files.

Profile copies are fresh for 12 hours and retained for a maximum of 7 days for service continuity. Owner opt-out deletes cached profile data immediately. Watchlist snapshots store numerical counts and their dates, not follower or following lists.

Why we process data

For public profile data and for site operation, our legal basis is legitimate interest: offering a lookup service for information that account owners chose to make public, while keeping the service secure and working. We balance this against owners' rights, which is why removal is immediate and needs no ID proof. Account data and analytics are processed on the basis of your agreement or consent where the law requires it.

Your choices and opt-out

Owners of TikTok accounts can opt out by using /remove-my-profile/. Future lookups of that username show the message "The owner of this profile asked not to be shown on TokGlance." You can also ask to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, or to close your account, by writing to privacy@tokglance.com.

Do not sell or share my personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents can ask what we hold, ask for deletion, and ask for correction by writing to privacy@tokglance.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. An account owner can use /remove-my-profile/ to stop public-profile display, or contact us to exercise other rights.

Sharing and service providers

We use infrastructure and email providers to run the site, including hosting, storage, and analytics. They process data on our behalf under their terms. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the service from abuse.

Children

TokGlance is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact privacy@tokglance.com and we will delete it.
